MPC Plugin: How to launch and confirm the 32 and 64 Bit versions In the following photo you'll see a notice that that indicates version 1.4, 64-bit is running. Observe a listing in the lower left corner for the version and bit type currently running. To locate version information about your currently running project navigate to the Help > About menu in the MPC Software Standalone Software. If you're planing on using this 32-bit version, I recommend creating a shortcut and renaming the copy(see below). This icon launches the 32-Bit MPC Standalone Software.
In this location you'll find a file titled MPC.exe. On a Windows computer, to run the 32-bit version of the Standalone MPC Software navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Akai Pro\MPC. Alternatively, the 64-bit MPC Standalone Software can be launched from the MPC.exe located in C:\Program Files\Akai Pro\MPC I recommend renaming this shortcut(see below) if you plan to run the 32-bit version, too. The MPC Standalone Software Shortcut that is on your desktop will only run the 64 bit version of the Standalone MPC Software. During installation, if you selected the option to create a desktop icon(see below) you will find that there is only one application to start from your desktop. On a 64-bit Windows computer, after you have installed MPC Software version 1.4, you will receive 2 standalone versions of the MPC Software. Launch this single standalone version from the launch icon on your desktop, start menu or from MPC.exe file located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Akai Pro\MPC. Additional 64 bit related versions will not install. On a 32-bit Windows computer, after you have installed MPC Software version 1.4, you will receive 1 standalone version of the MPC Software.
